Alison Shaw, Head of Care and Registered Manager of Bagatelle Care Home, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that Greenock Medical Aid Society (GMAS) continues to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to all our residents.

Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, supported by a dedicated and fully trained team across Housekeeping, Catering, Maintenance, Therapy, and Head Office services, including Administration, Finance, Fundraising, and a Wellbeing Champion.

GMAS employs a committed team to provide full-time nursing care for the residents of Bagatelle. The organisation is proud to be both a Scottish Living Wage and a Disability Confident Employer.

Staff development is a core part of the Society’s ethos. All nursing staff hold professional qualifications, and Care Assistants and support staff are encouraged to gain Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs), with GMAS covering the cost of training. Staff members generously volunteer their time to complete this development, and all team members take part in an ongoing programme of relevant training courses, ensuring continuous professional development and the delivery of exceptional care.
