Services

Brief details of services available to residents are given below. Further information, should you require it, can be found in our A-Z Brochures for each home. Contact us for your brochure at admin@gmas.care or call us on 01475 729424.

Activities

Our dedicated activities team organises a variety of daily entertainment and engaging activities, all planned in consultation with our residents. These include:

  • Reminiscence sessions
  • Carpet bowls
  • Games and discussion groups
  • Music workshops and media studies
  • Arts and crafts classes
  • Concert parties and special outings

Complimentary Therapies

Our highly trained in-house therapists offer a range of complementary therapies at no additional cost. These may include:

  • Aromatherapy
  • Massage
  • Manicures and hand treatments

We also hold regular exercise classes with gentle movements tailored to each resident’s mobility and ability, helping to promote strength, flexibility, and confidence.

GP and Medical Support

If you have lived locally and are registered with a local GP, you will wish to remain with your own doctor.

If, however, you wish or need to change your GP, we can arrange this for you because we are involved with all the health centres in the area.

Hairdressing

Our professional hairdressing service is available in the onsite salon by appointment. A small fee applies for this service.

Mini Bus

A wheelchair-accessible minibus is available for the benefit of residents, courtesy of an agreement with Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Services. It is used for community outings and appointments, helping residents stay active and connected.

House Committee

Our Care Conveners and House Committee members regularly visit Bagatelle to support residents and offer a listening ear. Through our “Home Visiting” programme, residents can share feedback, ideas, and any concerns in confidence.

The committee works closely with the Head of Care and House Manager to ensure every resident’s voice is heard, their rights are respected, and their well-being is prioritised. They also play a key role in organising social activities and events throughout the year.

Spiritual Care

We respect and support all faiths and beliefs at Bagatelle Care Home.

Regular church services are held, and we warmly welcome visits from Ministers, Priests, and other spiritual representatives.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many residents found comfort in online and pre-recorded services, a tradition that continues alongside our in-person spiritual offerings today.
